A WWE Hall of Famer recently expressed his desire to have one last match before hanging up his wrestling boots for good. However, as per Fightful Select, there’s no chance that the global juggernaut would let Jerry Lawler step inside the ring.
It’s no secret that Lawler has been battling with a multitude of health issues of late. He had suffered his third stroke early this year and spent a considerable time recovering. If that wasn’t enough, Jerry Lawler also recently confirmed that he was colorblind. In the same chat, the former RAW broadcaster claimed that he had another match in him, a comment that divided the wrestling universe.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select recently discussed the same on DEBUNKATHON. He said a WWE source made it clear there was a “zero percent” chance the Triple H-led promotion would let Jerry Lawler wrestle due to his health issues.

WWE legend Jerry Lawler on his recovery
Just days after suffering his third stroke this year, Lawler spoke about his miraculous recovery in an interview. Lawler mentioned that several people had come to visit him in the hospital, but he couldn’t recognize them at the time.
The WWE Hall of Famer added that he was grateful to everyone who had wished for him and kept him in their prayers.
“I remember lying in the bed in the hospital and when people that I knew, like family members, came in and I didn’t even recognize them. People kept coming out of nowhere to thank me and to pray for me. All of that means such a great, great deal to me and I want to thank them for all that.”
Lawler last wrestled in January 2023 at an indie show. Going by his recent health struggles, it might be for the best if he calls it quits on his in-ring career for good.
