WWE Banned Famous Finisher Very Suddenly Without a Warning – Seth Rollins Was Not Happy

Seth Rollins has spoken up about a famous finisher getting banned. He has said exactly what his reaction was when it was suddenly banned without any notice.

Seth Rollins has confessed he was not happy with his finisher getting banned

Appearing on Complex News, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins spoke about various aspects of their team in WWE.

Seth Rollins was not happy at all with the way his finisher was banned. The stomp was one of the most well-known finishers at the time, and he had used it to win his matches against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns to become the new WWE Champion. However, immediately after, it was suddenly banned without any heads-up to him.

“Sucked. It sucked because it wasn’t like… I was given no heads-up, and it was right after I won the world title for the first time with that move that I’d been using for years as a finish, and that had built up a ton of equity. And then, all of a sudden, I mean, ‘ So I don’t think we’re going to use that anymore.’ What the… ‘It’s just… you know it’s too dangerous. And it’s, you know, it’s not… I know you’re not dangerous, you’re very safe. you know…’ If anyone can’t tell, this is my Vince McMahon.”

The star said he could not believe how it had happened. He said that kids imitated all the wrestling moves and could get hurt, but that did not mean a move gets banned. He went on to say that he thought it was silly.

“‘Kids can do it too easily at home.’ I don’t know what happened. Someone got in his ear and said like, it was somehow a problem, like kids were going to hurt each other. I’m like, dude, it’s wrestling. If any kid imitates any wrestling move, they are going to hurt. You know, like your armbar, you can snap a shoulder off. It’s silly. A punch to the nose… you know what I mean? The Rock Bottom… any of it. Of course, it’s going to hurt somebody. So I thought it was so silly, but whatever. You know it’s not my sandbox. So I did the move Sunday, won the title, beat Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, then fly to New York from San Francisco, do the Today Show, pet a couple dogs, say hi to Katie and Matt, fly back to Santa Clara to do RAW and I go… and Vince is like, ‘Come in, I got to talk to you about something.'”

He revealed that instead of that move, they wanted him to use the Frog Splash as his finisher. However, he refused, and they had to find a new finisher, which he eventually did. Seth Rollins was mentored by Triple H at the time and ended up using the Pedigree, even though The Game was not happy about it.
