WWE SmackDown on Boxing Day this year is a pre-recorded show, which means that next week’s live event, the first of 2026, could include some major surprises.
The WWE.com write-up for the show could have given away a massive spoiler since former Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton is one of the women advertised for the show.
Stratton has been out of action since losing her Women’s Championship to Jade Cargill at Saturday Night’s Main Event last month and could now be set to cash in her rematch clause.
Stratton wasn’t at one hundred percent when she defended the title against Cargill, so she could have a reason to cash in her clause ahead of the upcoming Royal Rumble, potentially at Saturday Night’s Main Event a week before.
Will Tiffany Stratton return on WWE SmackDown?
Tiffany Stratton is one of the names advertised on the company’s own advert, and since she has been out of action for two months, there was plenty of time for WWE to change the advert if she isn’t set to be there.
That being said, it makes sense for Stratton to return after she was recently spotted advertising the company in Saudi Arabia. It was noted that she had to rest up from several injuries, and now it seems that she is prepared to make her return.

Stratton was expected to return at The Royal Rumble, but she has a legitimate claim for a rematch, so it would be interesting to see her return ahead of the show and cash in that opportunity, then she could enter the Royal Rumble if she is unable to reclaim her title.
This year’s Rumble is set to take place from Saudi Arabia and could feature AJ Lee’s first appearance in the match, as well as a number of other surprises that have become traditional within the annual match.
