WWE star Solo Sikoa recently spoke about being part of the WarGames match. He entered the hellish structure last year at Survivor Series.
Solo joined hands with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu and Bronson Reed for WarGames. The group was the most dominant back on SmackDown back then. They faced off against the alliance of Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk.
On a recent episode of WWE Playback, Solo Sikoa, Tonga Loa, and Tama Tonga reflected on their WarGames match last year. Solo mentioned that although they didn’t get the win, they put up a great fight. The Street Champ also pointed out that this was the first time his group came together as one unit to fight a common enemy. Sikoa also praised the fans in Canada for creating an electric atmosphere.
“We didn’t get the ending that we wanted but it was a hell of a match. This was the first time that we all had matching gear. This was in what, Vancouver? It was actually pretty cool. We had the same color scheme on, like we’re a unit together. But the crowd there, man, the crowd there was firing, the arena that we were in.”
Solo Sikoa led his team to victory on SmackDown
Solo Sikoa and his MFTs went up against a loose alliance of SmackDown members in a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match this Friday. The babyface team consisted of Sami Zayn, the Motor City Machine Guns, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Rey Fenix.
After a series of eliminations, Sami and Solo were the last two men left on their respective sides. After a brief fight, the Street Champ hit the Samoan Spike to claim the victory for his team.
