Next year, WWE will host the 42nd annual edition of one of the biggest professional wrestling events, WrestleMania. In 2026, The Show of Shows will take place at Allegiant Stadium on April 18 and 19.
The official poster features major icons such as Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar, and CM Punk, which already promises a blockbuster and iconic night.
The OTC will compete at WrestleMania 42
Roman Reigns has a record of main-eventing the most WrestleMania shows in history, and with him on the poster, it’s confirmed he will be competing at WrestleMania 42.
However, as of the writing of this piece, it’s not confirmed who he will face at The Showcase of the Immortals. Meanwhile, it appears the Original Tribal Chief might have subtly revealed his WWE WrestleMania 42 opponent with his return to RAW at Madison Square Garden.
Roman Reigns may have revealed his WWE WrestleMania 42 opponent
While the Original Tribal Chief has officially joined Team CM Punk for the WarGames Match, the Stamford-based promotion has released a clip on social media where Reigns was seen confronting the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, Punk.
CM Punk warned the OTC that if he backstabs him, then he would have an enemy. Roman, on the other hand, made it clear that he wouldn’t backstab him; instead, he would look Punk in the eyes and stab him. Thus, laying seeds for their potential match, and there could be no better place for their clash except at WrestleMania 42 with the title on the line.
“If you’re gonna do this and try and stab me in the back, then you’re gonna have an enemy,” Punk said. “Just remember this: I don’t stab in the back. I don’t have to. I’ll look you in your eyes and put that knife in your heart,” Reigns answered.

The company announced Roman Reigns for a major appearance
The former Shield member’s return at Madison Square Garden may not be his only RAW appearance.
The promotion’s official ticket page on the site has been advertising the OTC for the next week’s episode of the red brand show, which will take place on November 24th.
That said, the angle suggested above is speculative, and nothing has been confirmed yet. It will be interesting to see what plans Triple H and his WWE creative team have in store for the OTC and Punk once they head closer to Mania season.
