WWE superstar Sheamus’s close friend, and one of the UK’s strongest men, Pa O’Dwyer, has passed away at the age of 40. Sheamus shared the tragic news of his friend’s demise on his social media account. Posting a photo with Pa O’ Dwyer, he wrote,
“Just heard the news about @paodwyer__ . I’m absolutely devastated. My thoughts are with his wife and children. A former Ireland and UK Strongman champion, and a huge advocate for mental health.as he would say, the nicest c*^t you could ever meet. RIP, Big fella. You’ll be missed by us all. 💔.”

According to a report by The Irish Sun, Pa O’ Dwyer was the second Irishman to win the UK’s second strongest man, and had earned the nickname, ‘Limerick Lion’ in the process.
He had a decent fan following on social media and had nearly 634K followers on Instagram. He was known for putting up hilarious social media videos for his fans. During an interview with SunSport in 2023, O’Dwyer revealed that he ate close to 9,000 or 10,000 calories in a day, and each of his training sessions lasted for nearly four hours.
The Irish Strength Association also issued a statement following O’Dwyer’s death, and called him a “legend in strength sports in Ireland.” He is survived by his partner, Layna, daughter Sienna, and two sons–Rocco and Freddy.
No timeline on Sheamus’ WWE return
Sheamus is currently out of action from WWE due to a shoulder injury, which he seemingly suffered after competing in the first round of ‘The Last Time is Now’ tournament. He had defeated Shinsuke Nakamura on the November 10 edition of RAW and advanced to the quarter-final stage. Next week on RAW, Sheamus teamed up with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to take on The Judgment Day in a Six-Man tag team match.
That was his last match, and he was taken off TV after this bout. It was later reported that he had suffered a shoulder injury and was removed from the Last Time is Now tournament.
As of now, there is no timeline for Sheamus’ WWE return. The Celtic Warrior has recently undergone shoulder surgery, and the news was confirmed by his wife, Isabella Revilla. He is expected to remain out of action for the next few months, and the fans could see him return before WrestleMania 42 next year.
