An eight-time WWE champion is not medically cleared on SmackDown, as revealed by Nick Aldis. The star only recently lost his title in a match.
Nick Aldis had a word with Sami Zayn on SmackDown
Sami Zayn was in the office of Nick Aldis, where he spoke about the match that The Motor City Machine Guns would compete in against Solo Sikoa’s MFT later in the night. The star has had an issue with MFT for a while, and he wanted to be present at ringside for the match as well.
Unfortunately, Aldis was not going to allow it. It was only recently that Sami Zayn lost his US Title to Ilja Dragunov, after putting it on the line for several weeks in a row. He was evidently hurt somewhere along that way, and the attacks by Sikoa and MFT didn’t help either.
Since losing the title, he has not competed in a match. On SmackDown today, it was confirmed that the reason he has not been competing is that he is not cleared medically. Nick Aldis informed him of the reason when he came to speak to him, saying that the star was also forbidden from being ringside, given that he was still injured.
It remains to be seen when he will be cleared, but it seems that he has already set his sights on MFT.
Well, what I gathered from Sami’s Talks with Nick Aldis is that all of this is just the beginning of throwing a wrench in the works for War Games, and the search for partners will start sequentially#SmackDown pic.twitter.com/49ovPZN4o1

Nick Aldis has a tough time on his hands before Saturday Night’s Main Event with injuries
Unfortunately for Aldis, Sami Zayn is not the only star injured before Saturday Night’s Main Event. Zayn does not have a match, so there is not a big issue if he can’t wrestle. Unfortunately, that is not true for other stars tonight.
Tiffany Stratton is also injured, even though she has a title match against Jade Cargill scheduled for tomorrow. She suffered an injury on tonight’s show, further exacerbating the injury she suffered at the hands of Cargill last week.
Nathan Frazer also landed on his neck and appears to have suffered a serious injury.
