At WrestleMania 41, WWE announced the acquisition of Mexican pro wrestling promotion AAA. Now, Shawn Michaels has reacted to a massive announcement about the company.
As recently confirmed by WWE, FOX will be streaming the Mexican promotion’s main events and premium live events, which include Triplemania. The events will be available to view on FOX in Mexico, Central America, and South America, except Brazil. WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels reacted to this announcement with a message on X/Twitter, claiming he could not be happier for those at AAA.
“Couldn’t be happier for our friends at @luchalibreaaa. Big move for AAA and for fans across Mexico, Central and South America. 2026 is going to be a ride,” he wrote.

AAA will surely receive a lot of exposure following their move to FOX, and the involvement of prominent WWE Superstars such as AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio, Penta, Rey Fenix, and more should help get more eyeballs on the product as well.
AAA champions recently retained their titles at a special show
Chelsea Green and Ethan Page are currently double champions, holding the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship together. Green recently won the Women’s United States Championship by defeating Giulia on SmackDown, while Ethan Page has been reigning as the NXT North American Champion for 183 days and counting.
The Canadians recently put their AAA World Mixed Tag Team Title on the line against Joe Hendry and Thea Hail on NXT Gold Rush. Despite a strong effort, Hail was pinned by Green after hitting the Unpretty-her.
Page and Green defended their titles again just four days later, this time overcoming former champions Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice at AAA Allianzas on 22nd November in under seven minutes, extending their title reign to 24 days and counting.
It remains to be seen how long the Canadians will continue holding the mixed tag titles together.
