“He’s a prick” – Former WWE champion makes damning statement on Triple H

A former WWE star has made his feelings clear about Triple H and wasn’t afraid of not getting invited back to the company. The chief of content developed a political reputation backstage while he was an active in-ring performer, especially in the 2000s.

One of the biggest criticisms of Triple H’s career was he married into the McMahon family, allegedly giving himself power on and off the ring. He changed the tune of many after taking over NXT and making it one of the most beloved brands in pro wrestling.

And now, he’s in charge of WWE creative, though his booking has received a lot of hate over the past year.

Speaking on the latest episode of Mic Check with Mr. Anderson, Maven admitted that Triple H never liked him because of his background, coming from Tough Enough. Mr. Anderson, more famously known as Mr. Kennedy, then described his own experience with Hunter.

This led to Maven, a three-time Hardcore Champion, further discussing what it was like to work with The Game.

“At the end of the day, Hunter does not like me. We were cordial, but if there’s anybody who hated the way I came into the business, it’s him. I will forever in his eyes be the Tough Enough guy. … He’s a prick. I’m never gonna ever say no to anything. I just don’t think the call’s coming while he’s still there. That’s it. I wish him the best. You’ll never find anybody that knows the wrestling business than him. And I had great matches with him because he’s good, not because I’m good,” Maven said.

Mr. Kennedy added that he’s heard from people still in WWE that Triple H is now a changed man, evidenced by how CM Punk was able to return and have a relationship with him backstage.

Maven once opened up about facing Triple H in the main event of RAW

In late 2004, Maven was awarded the role of general manager for one week after being part of the winning team at Survivor Series. He gave himself a World Heavyweight Championship shot against Triple H in the main event.

Speaking on his YouTube channel back in March, Maven was honest about not being ready for the spotlight at that point in his career. The entire match was called by The Game, showing how great he was as a ring general, something that Maven was unable to develop.

The first-ever Tough Enough winner would eventually get released eight months later. He returned to pro wrestling as a YouTuber, discussing his career, as well as the tricks of the trade, with his 773,000 subscribers.
