“He can’t come in and wrestle at all” – Chris Jericho will allegedly never wrestle again after returning to WWE, according to veteran

Following speculation that Chris Jericho could be on the way back to WWE, a major wrestling veteran has just given a unique take on this. They felt that Jericho did not need to wrestle again.

The Nueve’s AEW contract ended on December 31, making him a free agent. He has not been seen on the Tony Khan-led promotion since April, and there has been no information on him re-signing. There has been more movement on the other end, as reports have indicated that he has a higher chance of going back to WWE.

Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo discussed this move during their Coach and Bro podcast. Coach claimed that Chris Jericho didn’t need to wrestle full-time due to his age. Russo had a bolder take as he believed that the veteran did not need to wrestle at all. Considering who he was, he believed that Jericho just needed good creative booking to make it work.

“He can’t come in and wrestle at all. He doesn’t need to . We’re talkin about Chris Jericho here, he does not need to wrestle. You just need to get him in the right role and give him good creative, that’ all he needs.” [H/T TJRWrestling]

Adam Pearce has seemingly hinted at Chris Jericho’s return to WWE

Earlier today, the RAW General Manager gave a quick rundown of things to expect for tomorrow’s show. He then spoke about three major title matches taking place during the show. He then wondered who would “break down the walls and claim the gold”.

This was an interesting choice of words, as this comes amidst abundant rumors and speculation about Y2J coming back to WWE. He may have been hinting at his arrival or stirring up the rumors.

Fans should stay tuned to tomorrow’s show for any surprises. But seeing as Jericho is a free agent now, anything can happen and he could make his return when people least expect it.
