Bret Hart has called an injured WWE Superstar an embarrassment for how he threw punches in the ring. The promotion is on the road to Survivor Series 2025, scheduled for later this month at Petco Park in San Diego, California.
The Hitman recently appeared on the Johnny I Pro Show and took a shot at Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in the first round of the Last Time is Now Tournament, but it was announced earlier this week that he would be replaced in the next round due to an injury.
Bret Hart, who was one of the best technicians inside the squared circle during his time, criticised Sheamus’ punches, claiming they were an embarrassment:
“I see guys throwing punches, and they open their hand at the last second and slap the guy and then close it by the time they pull back. Who’s that Irish guy? Sheamus, does those all the time. I see him and I’m like, ‘Why don’t you take 10 minutes and go down to have someone teach you how to throw a punch instead of throwing that embarrassment of a punch?’” [H/T: Fightful]

The star who wins The Last Time is Now Tournament will be John Cena’s final opponent in his retirement match next month at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Former WWE writer praises Bret Hart’s promo skills
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on Bret Hart as a performer and claimed that he was underrated with a microphone in his hands.
Speaking on Writing with Russo, the former head writer of the Stamford-based promotion, noted that Bret Hart was fantastic in the ring but was also excellent at promos. Russo referenced the promos during the USA vs. Canada WWE storyline back in the day and suggested that his wrestling ability overshadowed his promos.
“Bret [Hart] was such a great wrestler that his promo side is totally overshadowed. I don’t care what anybody says. You go watch the USA vs. Canada stuff, Bret is freaking great. He is great, absolutely without a shadow of a doubt. I wish he were smack dab in the middle of that,” Russo said.
Bret Hart says that he has a hard time watching today’s pro-wrestling because it’s too fake for him:
“I’ll be honest, I have a hard time watching today’s wrestling. I just can’t really watch it. It’s too fake for me. But, I love watching the old 90s wrestling. Like when I watch… pic.twitter.com/wma55gWAqx

Only time will tell when Sheamus will be able to return to WWE television following his untimely injury.
