It is time to say goodbye to two legends of the wrestling business and WWE, as a team has announced their retirement after 33 years. The last date for the last-ever match has been confirmed as well.
WWE legends Headbangers Mosh and Thrasher announce they are retiring
Taking to Instagram, Headbanger Mosh and Headbanger Thrasher spoke to fans. They announced that they will be retiring and never wrestling again after their last-ever match on July 23, 2026. It will be at the ISPW Legends of Wrestling Night.
They made a joke that they would have another match if WWE or Japan called, but it was just a joke.
They asked everyone to be there if they wanted to see them they should be there and specified that it was going to be 33 years since they were together.
“June of 2026 will have been 33 years since we were together.”
They posted about it and compared it to John Cena’s retirement and decided that just like that was taking place over episodes of RAW and other shows, their time was at an end too. They posted the video minutes before RAW.
“Just like the #JohnCena The Time is Now tour is coming to an end, the infamous run of the Headbangers will be coming to a close next year in Wildwood! More details to come but if you’d like to get one of the last matches – contact me at chazmosh@gmail.com #WWERAW”

The Headbangers will have been together for 33 years by the time they retire
By the time they retire, they will have worked together for 33 years. They teamed as the Spiders originally back in the 1990s. Later, they went on to join WWE in 1997 and even won the WWF Tag Team titles at the time. They left the company in 2000, but went on to return for several matches back in 2016.
Even if the two have not been a part of the company, they have been an active part of the indie scene, wrestling quite regularly.
As of now, it’s not certain who they will wrestle in their last-ever match.
