WWE veteran and ring announcer Lilian Garcia is dealing with the loss of a loved one. She recently released an emotional statement on social media.
Lilian Garcia has become a part-timer since returning to the Stamford-based promotion. She has limited her role to Saturday Night’s Main Event and other special shows.
Despite her part-time schedule, the 59-year-old personality stays in touch with her fans through weekly Instagram live sessions.
Earlier today, she took to her social media to announce the sudden passing of her best friend, Debbie.
In her lengthy Instagram post, Garcia shared some throwback pictures of her childhood bestie, whom she affectionately considered her sister.
She also wrote a heartfelt message in her memory, reminiscing about their time together.
“I have been devastated since finding out last night that one of my childhood besties died suddenly from a heart attack. The tears haven’t stopped flowing. I can’t believe this world no longer has @debbieodell116 in it. To say she was an angel on earth is an understatement. She had the purest soul of anyone I have ever known. Her love for people was so beautiful and the way she listened made you feel truly special. I met Debbie when I was in the 9th grade and she was in 10th. Her kindness came at a time I needed it most and she never left my side. Throughout the years, we stayed connected celebrating each other’s win which included her having 3 children.I know Debbie is in a better place now and that I will see her again but for right now, this one hurts. 💔
Lilian Garcia continued:
“Please help me send condolences to her husband, kids, family members & friends. May her memory teach us all to always lead with love. I love you Debbie and I will miss you so much. You will never know the tremendous impact you have made on my life. Rest in Peace my dear friend and sister. 🥹❤️”

What’s next for Lilian Garcia in WWE?
Lilian Garcia was last seen at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 last year, where she gave a fitting introduction to John Cena before his last-ever wrestling match.
WWE will now head to Canada to hold its upcoming edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24.
It’s safe to assume that Garcia will return to TV this month, barring any last-minute changes.
As of this writing, WWE has lined up only one high-stakes match for the show, featuring a Fatal 4-Way bout to determine Drew McIntyre’s first challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.
