WWE has decided the winner of Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre’s match on SmackDown – Reports

Drew McIntyre has the chance to finally shut down all skeptical voices and dethrone Cody Rhodes as the Undisputed Champion on SmackDown this week. And if recent reports are to be believed, WWE, too, seems to be leaning towards having The Scottish Warrior emerge victorious this Friday Night.

It’s no secret that McIntyre’s booking has frustrated a large section of viewers, as he always comes up short in the matches that matter the most. Despite this, his fans have firmly been in his support and have been vocal about their desire to see him at the top of the mountain.

Drew McIntyre will have the chance to fulfill his destiny when he challenges Cody Rhodes again on this week’s SmackDown, this time in a Three Stages of Hell match. On the latest episode of Self Made Pro, it was noted that many within WWE were actively calling for McIntyre to capture the Undisputed Title.

“What I can say about this match is that there are significant voices in creative, actively pushing for Drew McIntyre to beat Cody Rhodes in this match. That was as of last week. By this point, I’d imagine the decision has been made as to where they’re going, but I know as of last week, there were significant voices, pushing hard for Drew McIntye to go over.”

Furthermore, it was noted that one of the World Titles would change hands this week. With CM Punk already retaining his World Heavyweight Title on RAW, it just leaves Cody Rhodes as the likely person to drop the gold.

“What I can tell you is that a title is going to change hands this week. One of the World Titles and there’s two major main roster World Titles matches.”

Drew McIntyre is more than ready for WWE SmackDown

A few hours back, The Scottish Warrior fired off a tweet, where he addressed the magnitude of his upcoming match on WWE SmackDown. He added that the showdown against Cody Rhodes might be the biggest of his career and that it could mark the beginning of a new era with him walking out as the champion.

“Friday feels like the biggest match of my career? All the talk. All the mind games. Everything over the last 2 years means nothing if I leave Germany without the belt. A new era…. This is it,” he wrote.

Despite being a heel, there’s no doubt that a lot of fans would be rallying in Drew McIntyre’s support on the Friday Night Show this week.
