The January 5, edition of WWE RAW featured three title matches, with two of them changing hands. While Becky Lynch defeated Maxxine Dupri for the Intercontinental Championship, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY defeated Asuka and Kairi Sane to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Ripley managed to exact revenge for her recent singles defeat to Asuka by pinning her for the title. The babyfaces then celebrated their title win, and IYO SKY sent a message to the fans and her tag team partner on X/Twitter.
“We made it!!!!! Thank you guys!!!!! And love you so much @RheaRipley_WWE !!!!!!!!!🫶✨✨✨,” she wrote.

The women’s tag team division has been on fire lately, and it seems likely that Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will be challenged by Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss next, after their interaction on SmackDown.
Nia Jax and Lash Legend have also been involved in the tag team championship picture across the brands. It remains to be seen whether they also get a shot at the new champions in the coming weeks.
Rhea Ripley’s real-life husband reacted after massive title change on WWE RAW
After weeks of dominance from Ripley and IYO SKY, the babyfaces managed to dethrone the Kabuki Warriors for the tag team titles. Rhea Ripley’s real-life husband, Buddy Matthews, reacted to the title change on his Instagram story.
“My wife… is a smoke show!” wrote Matthews.
The AEW star has been out of action for nearly a year, injuring his ankle in February last year during his Continental Championship match against Kazuchika Okada.
Despite his absence from television, he has remained active on social media and is also contracted to AEW. He previously performed as Buddy Murphy in WWE till 2021, an eight-year tenure that saw him perform in NXT as well as on WWE RAW.
