Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are still part of WWE. Reigns is currently portraying the Original Tribal Chief, while Seth Rollins is known as The Visionary. However, after getting kicked out of The Vision, Rollins has been on a hiatus from the Stamford-based promotion due to a real-life injury.
Meanwhile, there is a chance that whenever The Visionary makes his return, he will seek revenge from the villainous group and may turn babyface. Considering that the OTC has no love for Paul Heyman and The Vision, there is a possibility of a reunion between Reigns and Rollins against Heyman’s group in the near future.
If this happens, Roman and Seth might reform The Shield faction by replacing Dean Ambrose with WWE icon CM Punk. For those who might not know, Roman, Seth, and Ambrose were part of The Shield faction. However, Dean decided to leave World Wrestling Entertainment and joined All Elite Wrestling.
Since then, The Shield has yet to reunite in the company, but with the growing chance of Rollins vs. The Vision taking place, the Hounds of Justice might be reformed. The reason why the Best in the World could be a member of The Shield’s new version is that he is currently engaged in a feud with Bron Breakker.

The Second City Saint is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against the new Big Dog on RAW, January 5, 2026. If Punk suffers a world title loss, he might not hesitate to join forces with Roman and Rollins to take down The Vision.
Even with this, WWE could set the stage for a massive tag team match at WrestleMania 42 where the new version of The Shield could collide with The Vision. Previously, we have seen Reigns, Rollins, and Cody Rhodes pull double duty and compete on both nights of WrestleMania.
So, a similar instance could follow up at The Showcase of the Immortals next year, when WWE could confirm this tag team match for night one and individual matches for the big stars on night two.

Recently, a report revealed that Roman Reigns is expected to face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42. The Original Tribal Chief was involved in a face-off with The American Nightmare at the end of Survivor Series 2025.
The report asserted that Roman vs. Cody Part III might take place at The Showcase of the Immortals next year. If it happens, it will be interesting to see whether the Head of the Table will be able to dethrone Cody Rhodes as the Undisputed WWE Champion.
