The Last Time Is Now: Triple H to pull off shocking twist ahead of John Cena retirement? [ANALYSIS]

John Cena is set to retire at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington DC on 13th December. The winner of the Last Time is Now Tournament will be the one who will get to face Cena in his retirement match. There is a chance that Triple H could add a shocking twist to the match by adding another stipulation.

Ever since Cena announced his retirement tour, fans started wondering that who will get the honour of facing the Cenation leader in his final wrestling match. Many names including Edge, CM Punk, Randy Orton and even Cody Rhodes were pitched by fans to be Cena’s final opponent.

However, few weeks ago on Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City, the announcement regarding Cena’s final match was made. WWE announced that a 16-man Last Time is Now tournament will be hosted featuring stars from RAW, SmackDown, NXT and different promotions to determine his last opponent.

There is a chance that Triple H could raise the stakes by giving another incentive to the winner of the tournament. He could announce that the winner of the Last Time is Now tournament will get to induct John Cena in next year’s Hall of Fame. The announcement can be made right before the finals of the tournament.

It will be interesting to see who will win the tournament and face Cena in his final match in December.


Matt Cardona returned to WWE fornthe John Cena tournament

On this past week’s episode of SmackDown, LA Knight was set to face a mystery opponent in the opening round of the tournament. The opponent was later revealed to be Matt Cardona who returned to WWE with his Zack Ryder persona.

After an intense match, Knight picked up the win over Ryder in his return match. This marked his first appearance on the WWE main roster in 5 years. Fans loved to see Zack Ryder come back one more time to take part in the retirement tour of his good friend John Cena.
