The WrestleMania 42 announcement a few days ago got the fans buzzing as Triple H was in front and center of the poster alongside other big WWE names. This has prompted Stevie Richards to speculate that The Game wanted to get back in the spotlight and potentially lace up his wrestling boots again.
The WWE Chief Content Officer hasn’t stepped inside the ring since 2019 and has, on several occasions, made it clear that he was finished with his wrestling days. However, this hasn’t stopped the wrestling world from dreaming of scenarios that would see The Cerebral Assassin return for one final match.
Fans went into an overdrive mode after WrestleMania 42’s poster reveal, where Triple H posed with other active WWE stars. Now, Stevie Richards has also shared his take on why The Game was featured so prominently on the poster.
“I think that is a debuting or returning superstar. Triple H. Triple H is back, baby. He’s back doing the voiceovers. He’s back with the vignette. He is obviously the most important part of this. And I’m at the point right now, especially after the Saudi press conference, they’re just playing with their toys. That’s all they’re doing. This is their pet project. This is to get themselves over,” said Stevie Richards. (H/T – TJRWrestling)
Speaking on his Stevie Richards Show, the ex-WWE star added that he was convinced HHH was plotting an in-ring return at The Grandest Stages of Them All next year or at WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia.
“But this dude’s coming back. I have no doubt. I have no doubt. If not for this one, definitely WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia,” he added.

Furthermore, Richards also pointed out how Bret Hart’s criticisms of HHH weren’t without their merits. He mentioned that the WWE CCO has slowly morphed into a villain and was enjoying all the attention from fans.
“It’s all there ever is and all there ever will be. I’m sure Brett loved it. It’s one of Brett’s favorite promos since the last Triple H one. I really don’t care anymore. People that say like, “Oh, you just keep bringing him up and whatever.” It’s fun to do because he just can’t help himself. It’s obvious he’s lived long enough to become the villain now. We got the honeymoon period with what 2022, 23, 24 with the booking. Now we’re in 25. It’s you can see it for what it’s worth amongst all these top people in management.”
Richards’ comments are mere speculation at this point, as there’s been no hint whatsoever from The Game himself regarding his intention to wrestle again.
