This week’s episode of SmackDown emanated from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The show saw many top WWE stars in action, with Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre featuring in the main event segment.
The two superstars signed a contract making their Championship match at Saturday Night’s Main Event official. The contract signing saw a heated exchange of words before McIntyre powerbombed Rhodes through the table in the ring to end the show.
The Scottish Psychopath walked away after the show went off-air, but Rhodes remained in the ring. He dusted himself off and cut a promo and then invited veteran WWE cameraman Stu to the ring for a birthday celebration.
The American Nightmare got the crowd into singing a happy birthday chorus for Stu. He then put the WWE Undisputed Championship around the cameraman’s waist before hoisting him on his shoulders.
Rhodes then wished Stu a happy birthday, saying, “You’re the man” and hugged the long-term WWE employee. A video of this segment was shared on YouTube by Matt Kempke.

Cody Rhodes agreed to unique stipulation for WWE Title match against Drew McIntyre
During the main event segment, Drew McIntyre refused to sign the contract, citing Champion’s advantage. This was after Cody Rhodes was disqualified during an impromptu Title match against the Scottish Warrior last week.
Hence, Rhodes decided to offer a unique stipulation to the match. He said that he would lose the Title if he got counted out or disqualified in his match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
This nullifies the Champion’s advantage and means fans are likely to see a decisive outcome on Saturday. The two stars also faced each other for the Title at Wrestlepalooza where Rhodes beat McIntyre.
Since then, McIntyre has been seething about a rematch, and now he finally has his chance.
