Here are five spoilers for tonight’s WWE RAW that you need to know:
#5. Paul Heyman & Austin Theory kick off the show
Tonight’s episode of WWE RAW kicked off with a backstage promo segment featuring Paul Heyman and Austin Theory. The two had a one-on-one conversation where The Wiseman spoke carefully and strategically to Theory, aligning him more closely with The Vision. In his classic manipulative style, Heyman tried to discuss the group’s internal dynamics and future plans.
This very segment set a tone of intrigue around Austin Theory’s potential full integration into The Vision, with Paul Heyman essentially welcoming him as the newest member of the faction. Also, this opening segment directly led to the announcement of Monday Night RAW’s main event, where Theory competed in a tag team match alongside Bronson Reed.
#4. Becky Lynch returns to WWE RAW
Becky Lynch made a blockbuster return on the December 22 episode of WWE RAW, where she delivered a defiant promo. The Man complained about how unfair the company had treated her, including the circumstances of losing the Women’s Intercontinental Title to Maxxine Dupri. She also expressed her determination to get back to the top.
However, the promo was interrupted by the reigning Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Dupri and Lynch had a heated exchange of words in the ring, which eventually turned into a physical altercation. Big Time Becks initially went on the attack, but Maxxine Dupri gained the upper hand. She locked Becky in an ankle lock submission hold, making her tap out.
#3. Three major title matches get official on WWE RAW
Tonight’s episode of WWE RAW played a pivotal role for the championships as three big title matches have been made official. WWE announced a Triple Threat Match for the Women’s World Championship between Stephanie Vaquer, Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez. The company also announced a World Tag Team Championship match between The Usos and AJ Styles & Dragon Lee.
Both title matches are set for the December 29 edition of WWE RAW. Apart from these, the Women’s Intercontinental Championship will also be on the line. Maxxine Dupri defends her gold against Becky Lynch on the first Monday Night RAW of 2026, where WWE will celebrate the red brand’s anniversary on Netflix.
#2. Gunther and CM Punk exchange a fiery staredown
Gunther showed up on WWE RAW and delivered yet another menacing promo where the crowd showered him with a chorus of boos. The Ring General once again insulted John Cena and badmouthed him. Before he could fully develop the promo or say much more, he was interrupted by World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.
The two superstars were locked in an intense staredown, teasing a potential feud for the future. However, things did not escalate any further and Gunther simply walked away backstage with a smirk. This segment served as a prelude to the main event of Monday Night RAW. The Ring General also had a backstage run-in with AJ Styles once again.
#1. CM Punk & Rey Mysterio compete in the mainevent of Monday Night RAW
The main event of tonight’s RAW was a blockbuster tag team match. CM Punk and Rey Mysterio, the two recent victims of The Vision, teamed up and battled Bronson Reed and Austin Theory in a hard-hitting match. The WWE Universe witnessed a great showdown where both teams delivered some jaw-dropping sequences and close falls.
However, it was the heel team that got the last laugh. The finish of the match saw Austin Theory pin Rey Mysterio in the middle of the ring. Reed and Theory secured a defiant victory and stood tall. In the aftermath of the bout, Bron Breakker also made his presence felt to put CM Punk on notice ahead of their upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match.
