A 25-year-old WWE star announced her surprising exit from the company today on social media. The star has not competed in a wrestling match for the company since May 2025.
NXT and Evolve star Brinley Reece took to social media today to reveal that she is exiting the promotion. Reece noted that the serious injury she suffered last year required surgery and presented health challenges that she had to navigate. She thanked her fans for their support and noted that this was not the end of her journey. You can check out the message in the post below.
“After three years, I am officially closing my chapter wrestling at WWE. This decision came after navigating personal health challenges and a serious injury that required surgery last year. It wasn’t an easy choice, but it was a necessary one – choosing my health, my body, and my future first,” she wrote.

Brinley Reece was signed to the promotion in 2022 after attending a tryout during SummerSlam weekend. She has not competed in a match since her loss to Karmen Petrovic at an NXT live event on March 22, 2025.
Former WWE star reacts to Brinley Reece’s exit from the company
Former WWE Superstar Indi Hartwell reacted to Brinley Reece announcing her departure from the company today on social media.
The company released Hartwell in November 2024. Hartwell captured the NXT Women’s Championship and also won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships alongside Candice LeRae during her time in the company.
She signed with TNA Wrestling in 2025 and also remains active on the independent wrestling scene. Hartwell reacted to Reece’s announcement on Instagram with a heartfelt message. Hartwell noted that it was a great chapter of Reece’s life, and she was excited to see what the future held for her.
